A: The credit is transferable, however it is up to the student to work with their intended university to understand if and how the credit will be applied. This is specific to each student, their university and their intended college program.

Important Dates

July 21, 2024

Recommended deadline for 2024 graduates and rising seniors applying Early Decision in the fall.
Ensuring your registration and payment are received by this date allows for a transcript at the end of August to send to their college or with applications in the fall.

November 2, 2024

Registration and payment must be received by this date to be registered in RIT’s fall 2024 semester.
Transcripts will be available on December 21, 2024.

Assigned Grades

The transcripted grade received from RIT is based solely on the End of Course (EoC) exam score you receive on the PLTW End of Course exam.

The grade you receive in the high school course may differ from the college credit grade. If you attend RIT, the college credit grade you receive is counted towards your undergraduate RIT cumulative GPA. If you attend another university, the course credits often are transferred without the letter grade or GPA.

It is important for you to ask your teacher what your End of Course exam score is so that you can make an informed decision as your college credit grade could affect your undergraduate GPA.
