Background Information:
Hello. This will be my thirteenth year at Norwin School District. I previously taught Physics and 6th grade Earth Science in Pittsburgh Public Schools at Oliver High School and CAPA. I graduated from Clarion University with a Bachelors in Physics and also a Bachelors in Secondary Education. Beyond education, my other focus of studies was in Astrophysics during this time. As an undergraduate, I was a leader within several organizations and worked at a local camp and conference center for 5 summers as a Counselor, Head Lifeguard, & Waterfront Supervisor. I later earned my Master of Science in Education with a certificate in Computer Science Education through the College of St. Scholastica in the summer of 2018.
I have had the pleasure to have taught all available levels of Physics offered to Juniors as well as the electives Physics in Medicine and Electricity and Magnetism offered to Seniors. I am very excited to add AP Physics 1 to the course offerings available to Juniors and Seniors this school year. I look forward to meeting you and working with you this upcoming school year and am especially excited to share my enthusiasm for all things Physics, computers, technology, astrophotography, and space.
