About Mrs. Sturm

I have been working at Norwin since the 2009-2010 school year.  I began as a paraprofessional at the Middle School and later became a long-term sub.  I moved to the high school at the beginning of the 2013-2014 school year and have been teaching here ever since.  I currently teach Cultures of the World and AP World History.  I run the Model United Nation club as well as the History Club and have participated in Mock Trial. I absolutely love teaching and even though it can get a little crazy in my room at times, I wouldn't have it any other way!

I received my bachelor's degree from the University of Pittsburgh where I majored in history. I am still heavily involved with the University and participate in many different activities held on campus. I then received my teaching certification from Saint Vincent University.  In July of 2024, I completed my master's degree from Liberty University and received my degree in curriculum and instruction with a focus on gifted education.

Not only do I work for Norwin, but I live in North Huntingdon as well.  I am married and have two beautiful children that are going into 6th and 9th grade.  You will probably see me at some point in Giant Eagle or Target.  Don't be shy and feel free to say hello. :)
