About Mrs. Sturm

I have been working at Norwin since the 2009-2010 school year.  I began as a paraprofessional at the Middle School and later became a long term sub.  I moved to the high school at the beginning of the 2013-2014 school year and have been here ever since.  I have taught Cultures of the World, US and PA 3 and AP World History.  I run the Model United Nation club as well as the History Club.  I am  also a gifted case manager for students at the high school.  I absolutely love teaching and even though it can get a little crazy in my room at times, I wouldn't have it any other way.

I received my Bachelor's Degree in History from the University of Pittsburgh. I am still heavily involved with the University and participate in many different activities held on campus. I then received my teaching certification from saint Vincent University.  I am currently working on my masters in curriculum and instruction with a focus on gifted education and will finish summer 2024.

Not only do I work for Norwin but I live in North Huntingdon as well.  I am married and have two beautiful children that are going into 4th and 7th grade.  You will probably see me at some point in Giant Eagle or Target.  Don't be shy and say hello.  :)
