Mrs. Tanya Martin

Hello!  I am so glad to be teaching here at Norwin!  I grew up in Greensburg, Pennsylvania and graduated from Greensburg Central Catholic in 1992.  I attended Slippery Rock University where I completed a Bachelors in Secondary Education Mathematics.  This is my 23rd year at Norwin and I have had the pleasure of teaching mathematics at both the high school and middle school levels.  Two years ago I received my certificate in Business, Computers, and Information Technology, K-12, and began teaching BCIT here at the high school. This semester I will be teaching Computer Applications and Introduction to Business (College in the High School) through WCCC. 

I have been married to my husband, Jayson, for 26 years and have two wonderful children, Tyler and Abbigail.  Ty is a junior at Saint Vincent College, where he is taking Finance and Mathematics.  Abbi has dual enrollment at Westmoreland County Community College and Carlow University, where she is studying Health Management.  In my free time I enjoy reading, kayaking, and spending time with my family.
