About Me
This page will provide you with information about my educational background and my journey to Norwin High School:
I am a fellow Knight graduating from Norwin back in 1995. After high school, I enrolled in a 3/2 engineering program through St. Vincent College and the University of Pittsburgh where I received a BA in Mathematics/Engineering from Saint Vincent College and a BS in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. Before getting into the teaching profession, I was a Process Engineer for Armco/AK Steel in Butler, PA. After 3 years in the steel mill, I decided to get out of that field and go into the Math profession. I returned to Saint Vincent College for my teaching certification and a MS in Curriculum and Instruction. Since joining the Math Department at Norwin in August of 2004, I have taught a variety of courses including Cognitive Tutor Algebra I, Algebra I, Geometry, Cognitive Tutor Algebra II, Algebra II, CHS Statistics(Stat 0200), CHS/AP Statistics (Stat 1000), and Calculus III. I have been the Mathematics Department Head/Curriculum Leader since 2017.
